How can you believe in the bible? It is full of contradictions, mistakes, full of hate, and written by men. If you would have done any type of research on it, you would know that it cannot be trusted.

Countless people have done the work, researching God's Word in trying to disprove its authenticity and accuracy.

I would encourage you to read about a man who was very much a skeptic of God and His Word and set out to disprove it.  His life was transformed when we did the research.  Read the story of Josh McDowell.

He has since written a number of books.  Here are a few that I think is the best for you to read:  Answers to Tough Questions, A Ready Defense, and the most recent to Answers to Tough Questions—The New Evidence.  I put Answers to Tough Questions, with it because Amazon does not have a table of contents and a look inside for The New Evidence as yet.

2 Timothy 4:3, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.”

I challenge you to not be one of the itching ears.

“THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE”: John 8:1-12, 31-36; Key Verse: 8:31,32:

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

I challenge you to read Josh McDowell’s story and his book The New Evidence.  Ask God to reveal His truth for your life.  If all we are reading is from people who are telling us what we believe and what we want to hear, then aren’t we just an itching ear?  Our logic and man’s logic will not be an acceptable excuse on judgment day.

Matthew 7:19-23, "19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.  Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'”

John 14:6-7, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

Call on Him!

Romans 10:9-11, “if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
